Art has always been a very large part of my life. I began drawing at about 2 years of age (so I’ve been told). I studied at the Vancouver School of Art as well as with artists such as Rex Brandt, Zoltan Szabo, and others.
Sharing
my knowledge with others started me on the road to teaching, and for 35 years
I have enjoyed conducting classes in the various media techniques of oil,
acrylic, watercolor, pastel, drawing, and composition. I have taught continuing
education classes at Kwantlen College in Langley, BCIT, Langara College, at
my home studio and for various clubs, organizations and private groups throughout
BC and Alberta.
I have had yearly shows since my first exhibition in 1973, sometimes solo,
other times with a group. My work hangs in corporations and private collections
in Canada, as well as Hungary, Germany, Denmark and the United States.
During all this time I devoured books of all kinds, listened to the stories of my family and friends and anyone else who liked to spin a tale. Retired from teaching, I now paint pictures with words and embellish the text with illustrations.
I am working on my second novel. I live in Surrey, BC with my husband and two cats.
